Bed Dissasembly

Are there any spot welds to disassembling a wood floor bed? My truck is 200km away from me but i want to cut my bed down to a short bed this winter so that i have to make the frame match in the summer. The easiest way for me to do this is disassemble the entire bed bring it home, not only for transport but storage. How difficult is this?

Might aswell share the other half of my plan while i am at it, so you can all point out the flaws. Since the edges where where the wood bolts in are all rusted, my bed strips are all rusted and the wood is currently pressure treated. I plan on getting a rusty bed from a 73-87(a dime a dozen around here) with a good floor and cutting it up to match. I will then weld it in right over the rails.

Thanks

Matthew
