Heater Core Replacement

The heater core in my 86 K10 let go and dumped a bunch of coolant in the floor. Fortunately I wasn't far from home at the time so I limped her back home without overheating. I haven't put one of these in since back in 1995 so my memory is fuzzy on exactly what I need to do to replace it.

My truck has A/C as did the last one that I had to put a heater core in. The only thing that really sticks in my mind on the replacement is that it's a real pain in the ass on an A/C cab like mine. Seems that I had to drop the inner fender out, and take the glovebox out. I think that I may have had to remove the cable for the control and unbolt and drop the plastic box down to access it which is a real pain. Does this sound right?

Anybody know of an easy way to do this? I'm open to suggestions to make this as easy as possible. Need some step by step instructions so I can get this old girl back on the road. It figures that it would happen when I had some work for her to do and she decides to lay down on me! ...Joe
