Picking up my new truck today, so I thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself and share a few pics of it. It's an 86' Chevy that I bought from my uncles neighbor. I've been after this guy for years trying to get him to sell it to me because it looks like the 87' I drove in high school. He's finally decided to let it go and I couldn't complain about the price. The only issue the truck has is that when he had the motor built my a local shop a few years ago, they didnt machine the clearances right so it has a slight piston slap noise until the engine warms up. I work for a shop building race engines so I'll probably build something for it down the road anyways. It still runs and drives the way it is though. Some of the things it has are: 700r hughes built overdrive, 3.73 gears with an aluminum rear cover, brand new tires with less than 50 miles on them, 16" centerline wheels which I'm gonna be changing because they're not my style, beltech drop using spindles, a/c, pw, pl, cc, tilit, cd with custom speakers, some aluminum panels on the int., air helper bags in the back with an onboard compressor so air can be adjusted from inside the cab, roll ban, gayloards painted to match hard tonneau cover, plastic bed liner, etc. The list goes on and on. He had the truck stripped down and re-painted 7-8 years and it still looks great. One of the straightest 73-87 trucks I've seen in person in a long time.
