underhood noise alt or power steering pump?
ok quick question once again
im trying to find a noise under my hood i have got it down to the either the alt, or power steering pump pully. it is a constiant noise and that is what it sounds like (bad bearing- i think) when i rev the motor up i cant tell if it gets louder because of engine noise, but win at idle it is constaint. it does not sound like a rattle but more of like a squeel (dont know really how to explain it) i can hear it in side the cab at idle and parking lot driving. as far as parts i bought the alt in 2005-06 its a powermater 140amp and the power streeing pump was on there when i bought the truck. i have always kept proper fuild level in it. anyone else heard this noise before? or have any advise?
