Bogging, hesitation, and missing.
Need some help with troubleshooting.
250 L6 w. Manual 1. Generator warning light isn't working. 2. Motor runs rough. I have to nurse the pedal to get it to accelerate. 3. Last fall the battery was going dead. All of this stuff points to an alternator that isn't working, at least in my mind. The one thing that is confusing me is the alternator warning light that isn't working. Is this just a bulb in the instrument panel, or does it mean something else is broken?

'76 Sierra Grande (Orange) - hate isn't too strong a word. Kid who bought it turned it into a hot rod. '68 C-10 R.I.P. - Dad's old truck...too far gone to resurrect. '59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said. |
