changing ring and pinion

Hi, I have a 69 C/10 it has a 72, 12bolt 307 rearend. I want to change the ring and pinion to a 373. My question is, Do I need to change anything else. I seen a 373 0n ebay, but the guy says if you have a 307 carrier it wont work. i also need a 373 carrier. Any help would be appreaciated. Also I'm not deadset on the 373, I could use alil advise on the rearend size also. I have a 350 with a 350 auto, it's just dead on take off. around 60 or 70 when i punch it, it does very well. it sounds like a beast, but i need 15 mile straight to wound it out.
