Well I decided to change out some chrome pulleys on the front of the trucks engine with polished aluminum. I thought why not go ahead and decide to fix the leaking valve cover gaskets. I found some numbers on the heads that look to represent casting numbers. According to the Edelbrock site these are for a 14101128 ( 350, Corvette, 86-87, alm., angle plug, 58cc), the carb is a Holley 750 vacuum secondary, and the intake is a edelbrock performer RPM to match the heads. The cam is unknown but the rockers are comp cam 1.52 rollers. If I recall the engine was completed back in 2002 according to the owner, but thats about all I know. Does the corvette engine and tranny hurt the value of this truck?
My question is should I down size the carb, I've been reading 750's are more for 400+ci motors and this is just a 350. I'm also looking for something just a bit more crisper and easy for around town. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Would the heads being for a Corvette mean I have a corvette block?? Also this engine is backed with a Muncie 4spd..? Does this setup sound pretty jam up? I just want this thing tuned, so I can cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
