Need some insight...

I need some insight from ya'll about my '79. I have really been wanting to build a crew cab short bed, so everyone can ride. My wife isn't keen on my daughter riding in the front of my regular cab truck. There are a lot of good points about my truck, and a few bad. The floors and cowl of my truck are pretty rusty. It sits in the garage, so the rust is not a huge issue. I know it's there, but it really isn't affecting a lot right now. The floors have been patched, just not really well.

I am very pleased with how the truck runs, the LT1 doesn't give me any trouble, and has really good power (for what I use the truck for, anyhow). I am knocking out a lot of the little mechanical gremlins out of the way as I need to. I have it reliable enough to be a daily driver, if I wanted to. I end up driving it about once a week, just because I can.

My dilemma is this: I found a pretty cheap donor truck. Do I part my truck out to make a CCSB, and clean up everything in the process, or do I just forget about it? I hadn't really planned to paint it yet, but doing that is no big deal.
