Parts Recommendations/Opinions (Antennas, Ribbon and Bumper)
Hey everyone.
On my 85 Chevy Scottsdale I was thinking about adding dual antennas (or something of the like) and a new rear bumper but I'm looking for some opinions and/or recommendations. On the antennas: I bought an OEM dual knob radio from Classic Parts of America and installed it but I don't have the best radio reception. I don't honestly know much about radio antennas but had thought about dual antennas maybe mounted behind the cab (one on each side) because I assume that would pull in some dang good reception, and I like the look of the antennas on both sides. But this might not be the best idea at all... I really don't know. I'd love to hear some input about this. Yes, no, brands, prices, etc. On the ribbon: I've seen chrome Chevrolet tailgate ribbons on many trucks but I can't seem to find a place to buy new ones.. Does anyone know where I can find them? Or do I just need to try and find an old one in good condition? Example from longbed gallery here: On the bumper: I've got right now and old painted bumper on the rear that I've wanted to replace for a while. I was out the other day and there was a truck in front of me with a bumper similar to below.. Does anyone know what type of bumper this is? Or where I can find one at? I personally like it as an alternative to the regular straight bumpers associated with these Chevys. Thanks! Last edited by beau21; 07-04-2010 at 02:27 PM. |
