Help with purchase
First off I would like to thank all of the members of this site that eagerly make information available to the masses. I have been reading through tons of old posts as I prepare to purchase a blazer and the wealth of knowledge here is incredible.
A little background, currently I am in the military and I will be returning from a deployment in about six months. I have made the decision after approval from the commander at home "aka my wife" that I would like to pick up a 69-72 blazer to "play" with when I get back. I am actually getting ready to head home on mid tour leave and I was able to find a blazer locally that looks to be a pretty good deal. It is a 1972 CST, the owner claims that it is completely untouched other than an aftermarket radio and some aftermarket wheels. No lift, or any other modifications, he did say that it is reliable enough to be a daily driver but it does smoke a little. As far as rust goes he claims that there is only some light rust in the rocker boxes. The truck has only been driven a couple of thousand miles since 1991. Most of my experience is with muscle cars so I wanted to get your guys opinions on what you think a fair price is, and what I should specifically look for. Current asking price is $7800. Thanks ahead of time for any help!! Here are some pics that he sent: I wasn't really sure where to post this, so if it is in the wrong subforum please move. |
