Replace Oil Dipstick Tube

Hi everyone - maybe a nooB question here, but I'm wondering about replacing the oil dipstick tube on a 1970 307 - driver's side tube mount. My original tube is in the attachments - it was broken when I bought the truck. I pulled the tube mount (the shorter section) out of the oil pan with needlenose pliers. If I get a replacement tube, should I seal it in the oil pan with anything or just jam it in there? Thanks for the help!
