painting vent window frames with the glass in
Nuthin' fancy folks... I was redoing the rubber in the vent windows on the '65 Chevy truck and I figured while it was all apart, I'd paint the metal around the glass.
So, after cleaning it up, sanding down the rust with sandpaper and an assortment of scotch brite pads... I did a rub down with some pre-paint cleaning solvent and let that air out for the 10-15 mins needed. This is my solution for holding it up while I painted it and waited between coats. A small box, with a notch in it. It made for moving it inside for the over night drying handy as well. I started thinking that if this was a regular thing for me, that a wooden box, or a jig of some kind with notches in it would be ideal. -W ---- link to my truck site page, a few extra photos of this job Last edited by Woogeroo; 08-29-2013 at 03:41 PM. |
