Radio problems

Hey all,

I had an aftermarket stereo installed in my 07 2500HD, and for the last couple of weeks it's been goofy. The radio won't always shut off when you open the door after shutting off the pickup. Sometimes it'll shut off, but after a couple of minutes will turn back on, with no key in the ignition. Sometimes it'll shut off and stay off. If I shut my radio off manually, it'll stay off...

Also, while driving down the road, I will sometimes get a random door ding. If I remember right, all of the warning dings are controlled by the radio's wiring harness.

Am I looking at a bad wiring harness here? Or something else that I'm not aware of?
