Carbs are all about the same, I just pick the one I like working on. I could make any of the 3 major brands do what I want them to do so I go for cheap...

And for air cleaners, the Stock setup gives you MORE power and fuel economy as long as the Cold air tube is still attatched, since with an aftermarket air cleaner, its sucking in hot air freshly drawn through the radiator.
I have an aftermarket carb because it was cheaper than fixing the quadrajet, and i have an aftermarket air cleaner because mine didnt have the one with the cold air tube, and it does look better, its shiny.
