63 steering column in a 64-66

I have been working on rebuilding a 63 auto colum to go into my 65. However the turn signal switch is different between 63 & 64-66. does anybody know if i can simply plug the 63 column into the 64-66 dash harness? I have been looking at the wiring diagram for both years and it looks like a direct fit (wire colors are different though) Just looking for piece of mind before I plug it in and melt everything. Hoping someone else has done this....
