Question q-jet question...

okay... i have an edelbrock #1904 on a 350... the diagram under the hood is for a 305 if that matters, and the emissions equipment has been removed from my engine...

as i was reading on swervin's site, this carb has a dual pump so it can draw more fuel/air(?) as it needs it, and this is controlled by the temp sensor in the thermostat housing... i don't have that sensor, just a regular water-neck... i assume it is a vacuum type thing going on here, and was wondering if there is another way to run the lines, or if it is better to have the sensor and go with that setup... right now the distributor line is run to the port labeled 'H' on the carb... seems to me that my truck feels a little hesitant... could this be why? what does the 'H' on that port mean, anyway...?

any help is good help! thanks,
jeremy
