76' k20 custom (big Bit$#)
So, where do I start. I had a K30 that I sold (regretfully) so I told the wife I want this truck back now that the family situation has settled down (had a baby) and no more planned or expected (ones enough for us)... I have a few other things in the work, but dont want to jinx them.
SO, I bought this with the memories of my K30... cracked block... guy only had water in the coolant system. So, I took a motor my buddy had laying in his feild to a place in San Antonio (best in town) that machines/builds engines (and race engines). So they took my 350 4 bolt main, and bored it/ported and polished heads/installed an RV cam... heres a few pics of the project. it has an sm465 with 205 transfer case. 14 bolt full float/dana 44 (not sure on gears yet... no stamp on axles and its the wrong glove box)... either 3.73's or 4.10's... I bought an edelbrock performer intake to sit atop it with an edelbrock 1406 (600) carb... once running right interior will be redone and then will SLOWLY restore the body. ordering a body panel or two at a time... engine BEFORE AFTER
