Oh Crap! my rearend hurts....
***EDIT...Read to new update..4-10-11..***
Or is hurt! The 72 5-lug 12bolt I got with my truck to swap in is frozen solid...sorta. Its been in the bed of the truck since I bought it 4wks ago. I finally took it out today and noticed instantly that the axels wouldnt turn, nor would the pinion. So I took the cover off, and its dry as can be..with alittle rust here and there. So I call the PO and he said he got it 15yrs ago, and its lived outside the past 5yrs..... So I turned it on the pinion and poured 2 gallons of WD-40 into it. Figure let it set for a week and soak. And before you ask, I had 7 gallons of WD-40 as one of the many "parting gifts" from when they closed our plant and kicked us to the curb... Anyway, back to my sore rearend... Any chance this can be saved????
