Coil spring question

Ok, On the bean shaped pieces that fit inside of the rear coil springs, I have two that have a threaded lug in them and two with just a hole that take a nut. I can't seem to remember which are the lowers and which are the uppers. Does it matter one way or another? I cant see why it would other that it would be hard to start a bolt through the frame on top. Any input appreciated. Thanks.
