shocking discovery
I made a 50 mile round trip this last weekend to pick up a transmission down in Pearland. My truck was bobbing and bouncing a lot more than usual. There is an elevated stretch of I-45 through downtown that just about made me puke it was bouncing so bad.
Well I had a chance to look at it this afternoon, and I found the right front shock mount has come loose from the frame. The nut backed off the stud and now the hole is wallowed out. It must have been loose for a while and finally the nut just fell off. The driver's side has a patch welded to the frame to fix the same issue that happened before I got the truck. Anyway, I was searching on the forum trying to find the bolt on shock mounting brackets that I have seen but no luck. Anybody know where I can get these? I found some on the Ecklers site for the pre-'73 trucks. Will these work on ours? http://www.ecklerstrucks.com/chevy-t...1960-1970.html
