oops, help pls!
measure measure measure, then cut. haha.
so got into the garage and started fitting things back together and getting set for where and how i want to suspend my rear end. then upon closer inspection, after catching out of the corner of my eye, my rear end is not centered in my c-notch(cpp bolt in notch), its about 1.5-2" forward of centre and resting on the front part of the notch. i fabbed my own trailing arms (using nuke1's how to thread) but seem to have made them about an inch short. tried to unscrew the ballistic joint, however doing so to the length i need wont allow for enough threads to remain in the bushing. also looked at moving the trailing arm crossmember rearward to allow as to avoid having the diff too forward, or i could scrap the bolt in c-notch and just weld in a new piece allowing more room. suggestions? also, doing a coilover rear suspension, how much clearance for suspension travel do i need to allow for compression of the coilovers? before hittin the bumpstops. thanks folks!!! Kyle. |
