Good deal? 1983 Chevy K20

Hey guys. I was talking to my uncle's friend last night he proposed a deal with me. He had a '83 K20 and he sold it to a friend of his.

He said if I wanted to, he'd go halfs with me to buy it back. He said the only thing he wants is the engine (It's a 327). So I would be getting the whole truck (with a fresh Turbo 400 that has a shift kit or something) and it's in good shape. Cab comes from Texas and the bed is from a salvage yard in which the truck came from the south. Only major problem is, the frame is weak up by the steering box and near the rear shocks.

If it's got a good price do you guys think I should go for it? My truck's pretty old and tired, but the frame is 100% solid. I was thinking if I can get it, swap the cabs, and use the good bed panels to fix mine up (I prefer short boxes, like my truck has now) and use the K20 as a plow truck in the winter. Or keep it and sell my truck, since the K20 is in such better shape

What is your opinion?
