Leaking Intake - Gotta Love It
I've been chasing this oil leak since I put the 383 into the '64, and this whole time I thought it was the mechanical oil pressure sender on the back of the block. Turns out that it's the intake manifold.
I got tired of screwing with it and took it to the shop down the street yesterday. They've had it, and still have it, trying to seal the intake down. Seems that the block was machined a bunch. Their latest attempt is a bunch of Ultra Copper. I'm hoping that it holds. I left the truck down there overnight to let the stuff set up for a full 24hours. Anyone have any other suggestions? It looks like the big issue is in the valley. I don't have any photos since the truck's down the road currently.
