Took my first drive in a C10 yesterday
Since I joined this forum back in the summer, I have been reading and learning about these trucks. I would like to get one but have not determined if I want one to keep original, or one ot modify.
One popped up for sale in my area that was a 66 C10 LWB BBW. It looked pretty solid, so I went to look at it. I have an old corvette, and drive a 6 speed manual every day, but I have never driven a 3 on the column. I took my dad along since that is what he learned to drive on and he "schooled" me on how to drive it. It was a very original looking truck. It looks like it sat for a long time, and someone cleaned it up to flip and make money. Painted valve cover, new tires, plywood in bed, spray painted engine compartment fenders, and possibly repainted roof point to this. The odo says 38K but, im not sure if that is orignal. The truck is from Washington, but looks very very solid. I saw very little rust. It was definitely interesting driving the truck. |
