Getting read to sound damp my cab... any tips?

I couldn't spend $20+ on a "dynamat" roller and for what ever reason I could not find one in Home Depot. So after about an hour of walking around I settled for:
<-- roller for bed frame

and some duct tape...

I cant see any reason why it won't work just as good...

I have my mat, heat gun, aluminum tape and my super custom roller... Anything that has helped anyone else or any advice before get sticker crazy..?
