So this past weekend I did a little research and came across a few things that have been in the pipeline. I finally located a 292 motor, which has been a pain. Nothing really locally, but I did find one that was pulled out of a running '70 C10 that was put to the side. I am going to take a look at this in 2 weeks.
The next thing is what is going to mate up with the 292. My
1949 Chevy is going to be a daily driver, however my goal has been to keep it an inline 6 with a 5 speed behind it.
After doing some more research I found a 2.2L 5 speed from an S10 and a NV3500 available also. I have been doing a little bit of reading and people were saying the S10 5 speeds are a bit weak if they aren't the "world edition" so it would be better to go with the NV3500.
Does anyone have any input/experience with this?
