I just recently upgraded to Creative Suite 5.5 and the whole suite was a shade over the 700 bucks you mentioned!

If you have hi res flattened versions of all your current images, I would be willing to pull them into Illustrator and attempt to rebuild full vectors. PM and I'll get you an email address if you are open to this.
