71 3/4 ton drop

I have a 1971 chevy c20 pick up. it has coil springs and over load leaf suspension. I want to drop the truck as much as possible with out "z"ing the frame. it is my everyday driver and i dont want the frame coming throught the bed floor. i also dont have alot of skills in metal work. i want to drop the truck as much as possible for as little money as possible.
I know i have to get drop spindles for the front. but can i just cut my stock springs instead of buying drop springs?
And for the back, can i get straight springs from a junk yard and cut those and put them in.
What is the cheapest way to get the truck low?
Any help appreciated!
