Shocks for an '88 V10 Burb

It has come to my attention that the shocks on the Burb need replaced and I have ran into a few problems;

1) Every vehicle I have owned before was MacPhereson Strut so I have no idea what brands of shocks are worthwhile and what ones are

2) I need to know if having the dual front shocks, factory mount style, makes a difference as to what shocks I need

3) I required resuscitation after seeing price quotes at the parts store due to an acute case of sticker shock

So essentially I'm wanting to know what yal are using on your Burbs and what you think of them?

Thank You in advance for any and all input
