1/2 ton, 14b, axle flip, rear sway bar?

So i have a 79 1/2 ton that i have swapped a 14bff on from a 3/4 ton a long time ago. i found a 1 ton camper special in the junkyard the other day and robbed the sway bars. i was looking at how i can mount the sway bar to my axle as i am going to flip my axle soon.
i am thinking that i can run the one ton u-bolts and have the nuts facing down. then have the axle on top followed by the spacer deal for the sway bar to make the round axle tube line up with the leaf spring better. the spring next followed by the sway bar bracket on the bottom.
do this make sense? i have never seen anyone run a factory rear sway bar on anything but a factory application. will this even work? anyone have any non-conventional ideas for the factory rear bar.
i will be using this bar as well as the front bar as i am planning on auto crossing this truck.
