anyone swapd 292 - small block

alright so I had life kick me in the butt and know my 66 gmc big block swap is on hold for a year or so curently I have a 292 in my truck I have a small block 305 im going to put in the truck temporarily because I miss driving it ive been told the transmition will bolt right up to the small block and I have to move the engine mount up a bit will I have to do anything else to make this swap work? will I have to get the drive shaft extended / shortened please anyone who has done this swap help the 292 is dead so yea I havent driven my truck in over 6 months and its killing me I want to drive it if you know what I mean
