Steering column

So my tail lights, brake lights and turn signals in the rear work intermittently at best. I have chased down all grounds, checked fuses to no avail. I believe the problem exists in my steering column with the turn signal switch. My column has an extraordinary amount of play when shifting from park to drive etc. So I was going to replace the rag joint and column. Enter my budget! I promised the wife this would be a slow build and have reached the end of the allowed budget for now! Does this column here look to be decent? Is this going to turn into a you get what you pay for issue? Looking for any input here as I am brand new to this whole project.

I have a '66 short box with a th350 auto(column) and a 305 V8

Thanks for any help
