help w/plumbing hydraulic clutch stainless steel AN line & fittings
Im trying to make a stainless steel AN line for my hydraulic clutch conversion. Novak says the fitting is a 3/8-24 female double flare and the line will be around 3' total. they recommend a 1/4" DOT line, so will a -06 line be to big or should I go with a -04? Also....as for the hard fittings....comingh out of the cluth slave and the master cylinder, will a regular flare fitting work or will I need to try and locate double flare fittings? This is my 1st hydraulic clutch conversion and I don't mess with lines other than brake/fuel/oil pressure very often, so I'm out of my scope of practice. Any help would be appreciated. Novak sells a line for $90, but I can get the anodized aluminum fittings and real braided line for around $35 plus shipping through Jegs or Summit. both have 3/8" npt/-06 (2.99) and 3/8"npt/-04 (2.99) flare fittings and pre made -06 & -04 lines made for $28.99
So basically trying to plumb from slave cylinder to clutch master. -06 and -04 would seem too large....-03 is available through some place and possibly -02
