Go with a nippondenso gear reduction starter. Uses ball bearings for the armature (spins easier), it uses an adapter that allows indexing the main body just about anywhere, and the last detail that usually isn't posted is this; do you remember gm starters that just click, or do nothing hot? The nippondenso starters are wired this way; hot= less solenoid resistance= more amps draw, cold = more resistance, less amps draw. Gm is just the opposite= less amps draw when the engine is hot. So being able to index the solenoid away from the headers, and the nippodenso starter pulling harder hot versus cold, that's why i went with the nippondenso. Good luck, Brian F.
