Cooling system ?

For starters, I'm working off this diagram and I'm running a modified '57 truck radiator.

It looks to me like I want to "T" the steam line in to radiator inlet or, if I must, add a nipple to the upper tank. It just needs to stay pressurized and let the steam collect at the top of the rad. The heater core I can plumb as usual but I'll need to adapt the 5/8 nipple to the stock 3/4 line. The pressure tank I'll delete, opting to run a normal radiator cap & line to a reservoir bottle of some kind.

Does this all sound right?
What have the rest of you guys done with the steam line?
