Inline 292 mods, parts, common problems
Hey, just wanting to meet some people with 292's. I just bought 2 292's. One is a '65, the other a '67 for $300. no pulleys but everything else there. Also came with a extra head. the guy had lump ported the head he gave to me. Real nice old man just cleaning out his garage. but just wanting to get some people currently rebuilding or rebuilt a 292 and maybe give me some pointers or just send in pics. I have a lot of ideas and want it to have its own style. not looking to turbo charge, but subtle horsepower gains. also thinking about putting a K&N air filter on my carb. now its a clamp on but with a little fabrication i believe itll work. get a pipe 2"-4" with an I.D. the same as the carb O.D. and weld in a 1/4'x1/4''xthe width of the pipe, drill the hole so the bolt with still thread into the carb and clamp on the air filter. thinking about this one, same shape as the inline.
