Washer Pump doesn't fit?

I took the wiper motor/washer pump out of my 66 to replace the seal between the motor in cab, wiper motor mounts, etc. While it's out, i want to replace the wiper motor. I got the little repair kit and it didn't have the right pieces (or the 66 doesn't have the pieces that later models i've worked on have.) None of the kits seem to have the bellows.

No problem i thought, the washer pumps are under $30 so i'll get one in and just switch the whole assembly. I know many don't like the mechanical pump, but i have several cars with them and they work well and i think the squirters are nostalgic.

Anyways, i got a new anco 61-72 which shows like 62-73 pickups. Every site i've found shows that those years (in a couple brands) use the same wiper motor. It came with a new plastic globe gear, but my motor has a metal one on it.

The new washer pump has a lever with an arm to trigger it, the old one had a square block that just moved in and out. No big deal, should still work, but then i went to mount it and the new pump mounts are wider than the old, one bolt is hanging off the end of the wiper motor mount plate!

All the research i've done today pretty much tells me that every vendor is going to send me a washer pump for a 64-72 as the same. So either this motor isn't for a 64-72 (which is crazy because it mounts up, wires up, and works fine, and i wouldn't think that'd be the case) or the earlier C10s don't have the same mounting width on the washer pumps and they DON'T fit the same washer pumps as later C10s.

Anyone have experience with this? It doesn't even seem to engage the global gear at the right place.
