Guns and Trucks Update

Refer back to the previous thread by the same name.

My job just happened to take to the town where the “Guns and Trucks” auction will be held 11-23-13. I wanted to see the 1966 GMC Suburban up close and personal. I got lucky and the individual was there and let me look all I wished. He even allowed me to take pics. Here is what I learned.
It is an old school bus. It has the “Blue Bird” school bus seats. Passenger seat “flips” up to allow access to the rear seats. I tried to take a pic, but the owner has used it for storage and it is full of JUNK. I suggest to the individual that it may bring more money if he would clean it out. His answer was, “I’m not getting any of the proceeds from the auction, so I’m doing anything.”
Back to the GMC.
Small block GM V8---Individual thinks it is a 283, Powerguilde, 4x4 (I looked under, the trany and transfer case is there, the linkage through the floor was not. Glass is all good, and other than the “factory installed RUST” in all the right places, the body is in good shape.
Here are a few pics.
Enjoy
