Door latch problems

Been building my 55 TF for a couple years now, a lot of lurking on here for info. Need to figure out how to post pics and all that good stuff... Anyway my truck is back from paint now and I'm fighting the door latches. First off I can not get the doors to close easy, it takes a pretty good slam to get them to latch. Second I can't get the inside handle to push far enough on the latch to pop the door, outside handle is stiff.
Any suggestions or ideas on adjusting or figuring out these latches would be greatly appreciated......
