Engine removal advice please

Catchn up on the forum, waiting for garage to warm up thought Id seek some experienced advice.

1964 IL6 w/ 3 spd man

Some thoughts I would like to discuss:

It looks like my hoist is not going to reach in far enough to reach a good "midpoint" so I will probably need to remove the bumper.

It would appear that removing the entire front valance / grill assy would make things easier but is it necessary?

Can I pull this with the trans attached? getting enough angle with as high as this truck is may be an issue? Thought about removing the wheels and setting it down on stands but that may be an issue if I need to reposition the truck during the pull.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Todd
