1962 Western Fiber glass Bodies
I have a 1962 Western Fiber - Glass Gordon Snyder Truck Body from Seattle Washington....I have a few questions ...
First I am a 64-66 C 10 kind of Guy and am not really familar with the 62's So the truck was a Milk truck and looks like a 1 ton chassis with a mostly Fiberglass body. I haven't really been able to find out anything about how many there were made or what options they had.....Does anyone know anything about these things ? I bought it and it was sitting outside and I couldn't crawl around underneath it where it is. I am still waiting for some paperwork to show up before I try and drag it home. It won't fit on my car trailer the body is too wide I measured that already. It has a small section of truck floor then turns into a custom floor that ends about where the cab would end then the rear bed is jumped up to a straight floor that goes over the duals.... - I know it's a 1962 - I know it has a straight 6 - I know it has rear leaf springs - I know who made the body - I know the dash is all flat steel and nothing like a truck dash - I know the gauges are nothing like truck gauges - I know entire roof and side walls are fiberglass even some of the cowl section is fiberglass I don't know if it's a torsion bar set up or coils up front yet . I want to wait to post pictures till I get it back to my house and get it cleaned up...Any information would be awesome.... It looks like this body...minus the fact it's not finished.....lol
