Survival instincts. Both for not letting the building fall on me and also for doing whatever it takes to make a living. In the good years through the '80s and '90s I went into business as a siding and exterior trim specialist,after learning to build,renovate,remodel,and restore homes. I have only done maybe 1/2 dozen whole house siding jobs since '06. I'm back to doing anything from the ground up. I like the historical work and wish that was all I did. Much of what I've done for this home owner has been "just enough to get by". It would be nice to find someone who got a place like that and wanted to make it all really tip-top nice. I do landscape design,too!!
