700r4 vss and cable

I am currently installing a 5.7L TBI and 700r4 out of 87 chevy into 66 chevy truck. I am using the 87 computer and wiring harness. I have searched the forum but cannot seem to find an answer to these questions.
1.) my 87 donor truck has a green box and two wires run to the speedometer. Is there a way to use that sensor in the stock 66 head? Or is the only option a Jags 2prs?

2.) If I go with the stock speedo what cable do I ask for at the parts counter? The 87 has a slip on at speedo head and the 66 has a threaded end by the head. The cable ends at the transmission appear different between the 2 as well.

Thanks everyone for any help you can give me.
