Side Moldings/Ally Trim - Best Quality in your experience?
This is a subject that regularly comes up, judging by the subjects that came up on my search here.
I seem to recall a thread where someone had actually bought trim from one supplier and found it dented when he pushed it onto the clips. I was looking at the LMC/Brothers/Ecklers sites last night, and prices start at $350 for a full set for a Short Fleetside plus the extra $20 because it is a long item, from LMC and upwards. Keeping in mind, I am in England, the price more than doubles once I get to fit them to my truck, it is important that I buy right the first time. I will be happy with polished Aluminium or Stainless Steel on mine, but the quality or thickness of the materials have to be good first time around. So any pointers to where I can get the best quality, and possibly even a decent price based on experience, will be greatly appreciated. This is the state of my trim currently, which is why I am looking at spending such a lot of money on one small part of my truck. And NO, I am not going to try to restore or repair the trim
