Anyone recommend a good tranny to swap?

Hey guys, getting lots of great advice on here, got a fresh set of tires and a list of all parts to swap from carb 350 to fuel injected on here through recommendations by members!! you guys rock.

the truck is road legal now and running good with the 4.3 in it, but soon will be time to swap to the 350! but before i do that i want to get rid of the th350 and find a manual transmission to throw in there at the same time!.

What i am wondering is what are some easy/half decent transmissions i could use and perhaps even the type of vehicle they came out of ex ( 80's chev truck, 90's chev truck, camaro, etc....) i have the clutch pedal assembly out of a 89 chev truck with a 5 speed in it, if that is any good!
