If you do not have a AGM charger (most of us don't) bench a good wet acid battery and your optima. Use a set of jumper cables to parallel (+/+, -/-) connect the two and then connect your charger to the wet acid battery. This will fake out your charger so it will read resistance. Charge at 10 amps until fully charged and then switch to 2 amps over night. I was in the battery business. I was always cherry picked Optimas from the scrap pile after putting them on a digital tester. If they showed any prospect of recovery (6v+) I'd use this method. I had better than 50/50 success at it. Most people did not know how to revive these things and replaced them. All of my vehicles had them and the extras were easily sold off at a pretty fine profit margin.

"I love that old car smell"

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
