Stock Steering Rebuild
I have only had my truck about 3 months. I was finally able to drive it for the first time yesterday because I had to put a new motor in it. While I was great to finally drive it, i found that above about 30mph it has a bad wobble.
Its a 61 Panel. The truck literally sat in the desert for 20 years. The tires have full tread, but look like they could crumble at any second. I have found lots of threads on upgrading the steering/suspension. I have no plans on lowering the truck, and drum brakes are fine. I do plan on adding a power booster and dual line master. Plus new tires will be in the next week or 2. But what about the best place for stock replacement steering parts? O'reilly wants a mountain of money for tie rods, and ball joints are expensive too. Are there other parts that work and are less money?
