fuel tank sending unit problem

Hello all, I have recently relocated my fuel tank on my 1968 C from inside the cab to the rear. I purchased LMC's Blazer style tank assembly that came with a sending unit for the tank. I know for fact that my fuel gauge properly read before this, however now with over a half tank of fuel, it barely will come up off of empty. Obviously this inferior sending unit that they are supplying with this kit is not compatible in ohm resistance to the stock gauge of these trucks. They (being LMC) are being very uncooperative or helpful with any specs or with providing me with a name of a company who is supplying these units so I can try to figure out the ohm resistance at full and empty to confirm a suspected problem. My question is does anyone know the resistance readings at full and empty of the original sending units for these trucks and blazers are so I can locate a correct unit to correctly read with my original fuel gauge or possibly a supplier who could provide me with the correct sending unit for this blazer tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
