Pulling the cab off the 71, is it difficult?

I already know I'm pulling off the cowls, fenders, bed, bumpers, grill, windows, bench and gas tank. The truck needs new cab mounts and a steering box, so it seems no better time to replace them than with these items off the truck.

I'm going to refinish all exposed areas, so I was thinking, considering everything else to be done anyway, how difficult is it to pull the cab off so I can refinish underneath?

Also, with those items off, less the gas tank, cab and steering box of course, shouldn't I be able to drive that thing onto a trailer and such?

This is all new to me, and I won't be alone taking most of this stuff off. I'm in the planning phase and want to have my ducks in order.

Thank you for any tips/advise.

I developed an assembly guide (kit) for restoring this truck from the ground up, complete with details including full hardware descriptions. Much of the info. applies to all 67-72 GM. My build thread, with some info. about the assembly kit https://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/...d.php?t=730025
