New Member with new 72 Blazer
Hello Everyone,
I've been lurking around here for years while on the hunt for a 1st gen Blazer. Well I finally picked up a nice 72 Blazer after selling off my YJ Jeep and 04 CTS-V. The last owner did all of the major rust repair with inner/outer rockers, floors, he added the cage and painted everything in SEM Hot Rod satin black. It has the original 350 and th350. I need to adjust the lines on the driver's side door and fender, but the truck is really solid. I'm already pulling the t- case and transmission. The t-case was full to the top with tranny fluid so I'm assuming the adapter seals are shot. There also a bit of a rattle coming from the torque converter area, so I'll pull the flexplate and look for cracks. Otherwise, I'm just going to clean up some odds and ends and run it until the winter gets here. Then we'll start looking into some power upgrades! Glad to be here and can't wait to start digging in to the knowledge around here! |
